Clair at the reception was absolutely amazing. We left Auckland late on Friday and called up letting them know we will be late. She stayed well past her clock out time and waited past 9pm for us to check in.
The room was alright however you can hear everything from the neighbouring rooms and corridor and the ceiling creaks when the level up walks

Great eating out, some a little overpriced however. Monday is a very quiet night for eating out! For a good unpretentious meal try Cobb and Co. The Vine has a vast range of goodies. The Indian restaurants are all good.

A very nice town. Small enough to be charming, large enough to have many choices for nearby activities and dining. 1-2 days maximum is more than enough. Food their is great and beautiful coffee, but do keep in mind everything is expensive as it is a tourist spot. Otherwise great location to visit. I visited Huka falls and Wairakei terrace hot pools which was an amazing experience.AkashNew Zealand - 10Scored 10

It had plenty of space for the 2 of us but may have been cramped for a family of 4, but I guess that applies to most motels. Everything was clean and tidy and the room facilities were more than enough for our 3 day stay. Although we were about 2.5km from the centre of Taupo we were only about 100m from the lake shore and the walk into Taupo could be easily made using the walkway along the lake shore. We did it a couple of times.

Generous sized bathroom/toilet.
